- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I seriously despise this place! There are so many reasons why. One reason that is absurd is you must pay to renew a prescription online now. They won't do it in office. So you pay $20 to renew and then for the prescription itself. Thank goodness I only have one medication! They are so materialistic. In the 6 or so years I have been a patient, I may have met Dr.Tahkar once and shes my supposed 'family doctor' She's too busy being rich to be a real doctor. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Did it! Found a new Dr.!!!! I'll be followed by one Dr., not a parade of different Dr's or NP. If you can get out of the Franklin Med Center do it now. The feeling that you get when you know you will be taken care will be amazing. I'm excited! On a positive note, the staff I have dealt with were always pleasant to me. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I read some of the negative reviews on here and some of them are confusing to me and I don't think they should be directed at the doctors. The main complaints appear to be wait times, and rude staff in "my opinion" soon seem to be personal. Dr Takhar has been my family doctor for over 13 years and over those years I have had to wait a bit in her reception area. I don't have a problem waiting a bit because that's the system we have in Ontario and I don't blame the doctors for that, the government created it and is responsible for making it better. The doctors here have always been good to me, I have ALWAYS got the care and referrals I needed, they have always took the time to listen to my issues. Sometimes my appointments with her have taken up to 20 min and the fact that she is willing to hear me out when other are still waiting is why we sit a bit in the waiting area. I'd rather that then be rushed out the door. Regarding "rude staff" I have been there when "patients " have been screaming cursing at the staff because they couldn't been seen the second they walked in the door so I understand a staff having a bad day. No doctors office is perfect, no doctors style is perfect but after being her patient for 13 years I wouldn't even think of going somewhere else.by Chris HeartfieldApril 08, 2017
